In a shocking verdict that actually seems to represent upholding the rule of law, William Jefferson was convicted of crimes due to bizarre concepts such as evidence, and the fact that he actually did it.

I also predicted that people will try to make this about race, when it was about corruption. Also, many of the people Mr. Jefferson cheated with his behavior were black. I cannot wait to see how Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and yes, Barack Obama, react to this. I have often maintained that New Jersey is not a state. It is a province of New York, with a small slice of it belonging to Philadelphia.
New Jersey truly represents diversity. A homosexual governor with a corrupt financial scandal disguised as a sex scandal was succeeded by a heterosexual governor with a corrupt financial scandal disguised as a sex scandal.
William Jefferson would fit in perfectly. Black officials are as equally corrupt as their white counterparts.
Washington, DC, is not an option. Mr. Jefferson does not smoke crack, and their are no positions available.
Plus, DC is amateur hour compared to New Jersey.
Think about it. When state officials can make the United States Congress pale by corruption comparison, then lofty status has been achieved.
Chicago is not an option because the only available job was filled by Roland Burris. Rod Blagoyevich is not available to spread any more graft. President Obama is busy in DC. At least he is not smoking crack, although Joe Biden and his comments still defie explanation.
The only hitch to this plan will be the issue of New Jersey being a New York province. Charles Rangel might already have his corrupt congressional empire covering that area.
William Jefferson has what it takes. The voters of New Jersey are…well, even they know. People get the government they deserve.
So rather than send William Jefferson to jail, force him to live in New Jersey, the garbage state.

So what happens with the info on those e mails that do get sent to the white house ? IP addresses, names and so will be collected. What possible reason other than data collection for further use could this be for ?
Offer me minimal medical services in the future because of my opposition in the past ? Get sent to a proctologist instead of an optometrist ?
This is practically war. We’ve got one section of America that’s very efficient at organizing that wants to stop the other from doing the same, because they know it works. And this time with so much going against them on this issue they fear that the opposition will grow in its own favor much the way the Obamanites did in 2008.
I think the only difference really is that much of the ones we see being so outspoken and the gatherings are the result of spontaneity and peoples conscience and not some huge single directive.

If he follows thru on the capabilities a program like this contains or applies any ulterior motives theres going to be hell to deal with. Teabaggers will look like fricken Mary Poppins next to what would happen if he started responding on an individual basis to anyone or used the info to somehow squelch a gathering/assembly.

I have 2 WW2 survivors and 2 holocaust survivors in my family, one is still alive, my mother.
As young as 6 years old I remember the stories she would tell us of when the Nazis occupied Denmark, going door to door asking Danes for their allegiance to the Furors cause. There was no strict adherance to this but at that point they did manage to know who you were and where you lived if you voiced an opposition of any kind. They also had access to whats comprable to our census here in America. Another thing they did was to intercept the mail coming from anyone in any country they had occupied, not just Denmark. They also ofered certain types of immunity to snitches. You never knew who was going to turn you in for a fricken loaf of bread if you voiced some concerns went against the protocol for all citizens.
My mother was 12 at the time, my granma was 31-32. Not two or three weeks after the pledge takers were there they were taken to prison, tattoed, raped and beaten for hiding Swedes, Swiss, or American soldiers from the Nazis, I forget exactly which ones.
All the data that Obama wants access to today, the means and the methods all covered up by these ulterior motives is just all too f*cking reminescent of that time for me to stomach. Since when in our countries history has the executive branch wanted individuals mail reported to the white house ?
