Ravens vs Orioles: How Roger Goodell can solve the Baltimore scheduling conflict

By now sports fans are aware of the scheduling conflict that has threatened to tarnish the feel-good atmosphere in Baltimore. The 2012 National Football League champion Ravens are supposed to begin their title defense on Thursday, September 5, 2013.

Major League Baseball has the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox scheduled to play a game earlier in the day.

Mr. Goodell needs to deliver a serious message to all of baseball. Let me say it for him.

In dating, sadly, age does matter

In the real world of dating for marriage, age matters. A pair of situations had me lamenting this.

OLD SCHOOL TURNS 10

Thank you Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, and Luke Wilson

Patrick Cranshaw as Joseph Blue Pulaski

Ten years ago some brave, young heroic men fought for what they believed in and preserved the American way of life. No, not George W. Bush and the Iraq War (although I supported that). These men were led by Luke “the Godfather” Wilson, Will “Frank the Tank” Ferrell and Vince “Beanie” Vaughn. Joseph “Blue” Pulaski did not die in vain. A decade later, honor these heroes in remembrance of one of the most important movies ever made, “Old School.”

Cancel the 2016 primaries, we have a CPAC straw poll winner

Rand Paul wins piece of straw, elected new king of Paulistan

In a stunning development at CPAC that was shocking to everybody except those used to pre-determined inevitabilities, Rand Paul won a piece of straw. Upon receiving the sacred straw, his supporters immediately declared straw as worthless as the dollar. They spun the straw into gold and elected Rand Paul the new King of Paulistan.

Obama, Jews, Sequester: Who is to blame for Vernal Equinox?

The Vernal Equinox is now upon America, which leads to only one question. Who is to blame for it?

Obama leaves Israel, threatens to return to US

Why Israelis dislike Obama

The recent lovefest between President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had all the sincerity of a United Nations briefing by the State Department. Yet one question was worth hearing.

Chuck Todd: “I guess my question to you was going to be why do you believe the Israeli people have not embraced President Obama the same way they embraced our last two US Presidents?”

The answer was pure Obama. Here is why Israelis really dislike him.

Iraq 10 years later:  George W. Bush is still right

Ten years ago, after seventeen broken United Nations resolutions, President George W. Bush enforced Resolution 1441. America was now engaging in regime change to remove Saddam Hussein from Iraq. It took about three weeks to remove Saddam, and in 2004 he was caught in a spider hole. Soon after that Saddam was hung.

Ten years later the Iraq War was still absolutely the right thing to do.

Leader of free world Bibi to Host Obama

President Obama visits Israel, nobody knows why

President Obama arrived in Israel to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Despite tension between the two world leaders, it is very gracious of the leader of the free world to take time out of his busy schedule to meet with Obama.

Everything about this trip is clear except the purpose. While it is impolite to ask a guest “Why are you here?,” many Israelis will be looking at Obama and asking exactly that.

Young gun Cruz takes down old bat Feinstein

Ted Cruz explains Constitution to octogenarian Dianne Feinstein

Several days ago the United States Senate saw a fiery exchange between freshman conservative Republican Ted Cruz of Texas and octogenarian liberal Democrat Dianne Feinstein. Cruz believes in the Bill of Rights. Feinstein hates the Second Amendment.

What really stood out is when Feinstein had the temerity to try and silence Cruz by playing the “mind your manners, young man.” card. Feinstein whined that she had been in the Senate for quite some time. This begs a very simple question.

What if the political parties were reversed?

WASHINGTON, DC, March 20, 2013—It is time for March Madness and my predictions that may be obsolete by tip-off. Take all your chips, and move them away from the table. Bet as little as possible.
