20 years later, the New York Rangers make Gotham proud

In 1940, the New York Rangers won it all as NHL champions.

In 1994, after a 54 year drought, they won it all again.

In 2012, they came close, but lost in the conference finals.

In 2014, they won the conference finals and are now back in the finals.

It was a classy performance by the Montreal Canadiens. Their goalie was fantastic. P.K. Subban is off the charts. They pushed the Rangers to the brink. Yet the team without captains showed the heart of Wales Conference Champs. Exactly 20 years after winning it all, the Blushirts have a shot to do it again. As for tonight, nothing like celebrating to Avicii’s “Wake me up” when it’s over. It’s finally over. Exhale. The Rangers are going to the finals.

Either the Los Angeles Kings or Chicago Blackhawks await.

Well done Rangers!
