NFL 2025 Week 12 Prequel

NFL 2025 Week 12 Prequel

Thursday, November 20, 2025, 8pm

Buffalo Bills (-4 1/2) at Houston Texans — The Bills won a wild one over Tampa Bay, but the Texans have a very good defense. The Texans do not have the offensive firepower to match the Bills, but the Bills tend to play close games. Bills win but fail to cover

Sunday, November 23, 1pm

New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens (-14) – The Ravens are on fire. They have won four straight since Lamar Jackson returned. This game could be over by halftime, especially with Justin Fields being benched and no notable backup on the roster. Ravens cover

Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears (-3) — The Bears are 7-3 but have not won a single game against a team with a winning record. Aaron Rodgers knows the Bears well. With Green Bay, he screamed “I own you” at the Chicago fans. The Steelers are not that special but the Bears do not get the benefit of the doubt until they win against a decent team. Upset special, Steelers win outright

New England Patriots (-7 1/2) at Cincinnati Bengals — The Patriots are playing very good football. The Bengals are a mess without their injured star quarterback. The spread is a bit high for a road team given that Joe Flacco, while old, is no scrub. Patriots win but fail to cover

New York Giants at Detroit Lions (-10 1/2) — The Giants are bad at getting worse. Last week their third string quarterback Jameis Winston played. They get starter Jaxson Dart back from a concussion, but he plays recklessly. The Lions will be an angry bunch at home after seeing their offense shut down at Philadelphia. Jared Goff will spread the ball around and Jahmyr Gibbs will run wild. Lions cover

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers (-6 1/2) — For whatever reason, the Vikings are just not that good this year. Sam Darnold played well. JJ McCarthy has yet to prove himself. Home field frequently matters in this series. Jordan Love will light it up. Aaron Jones would love to beat his former team, but he will not be a factor if the Vikings fall behind and are forced to abandon the run. Packers cover

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs (-3 1/2) The8-2  Colts are rolling and the 5-5 Chiefs are reeling. Yet the Chiefs will be desperate and Arrowhead is a tough place for visitors to play. Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor are good, but Patrick Mahomes is still all world and has a ton of weapons. Walrus Andy Reid will cook something up to right the ship. Chiefs win but fail to cover

Seattle Seahawks (-13) at Tennessee Titans — The Seahawks will be enraged after a tough loss at the Rams. Sam Dranold threw four interceptions. The Titans are horrendous, although their defense occasionally hits back hard. The spread is too high for a road team in this situation. The Titans are garbage, but they only need a garbage touchdown. Seahawks win but fail to cover

4pm

Jacksonville Jaguars (-2 1/2) at Arizona Cardinals — The Jaguars looked good against the Chargers and were beating Houston by 19 points after three quarters before an epic fourth quarter collapse. They gave up 26 fourth quarter points. Yet the Cardinals are bad at everything and showing no signs of life. They are a doormat. Trevor Lawrence has not forgotten how to sling it. Travis Etienne has been playing in practice in a limited capacity. If he can play, he will run over the Arizona defense. Jaguars cover

Cleveland Browns at Las Vegas Raiders (-3) — This is the stupor bowl between a pair fo 2-8 teams. Both teams have decent defenses and pathetic offenses. One of the Raiders two wins was agains bottom feeder Tennessee. The Raiders have no offensive line and Chip Kelly refuses to run the ball. Geno Smith makes dumb decisions. Yet due to injury, the Browns are giving Shedeur Sanders his first NFL start. He was a horrendous 4 of 16 last week in relief. If the Raiders lose this game, fire everyone. Raiders cover

Philadelphia Eagles (-4 1/2) at Dallas Cowboys — The Cowboys looked good against the awful Raiders, but they still have no defense. The Eagles have won two brutal games at Green Bay and against Detroit on the strength of their defense. Their offense has not been productive enough to justify the spread. Eagles win but fail to cover

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints (-1 1/2) — Both teams are awful. League rules prevent this game from being canceled. Home field does not matter. Michael Penix is out for the year. Kim Cousins has not forgotten how to play, and handing the ball to Bijan Robinson is not complicated. Upset special, Falcons win outright

8pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams (-6 1/2) — The Rams got a major emotional win over Seattle while the Buccaneers lost a crazy game at Buffalo. The Buccaneers are a good tea that does not seem to be able to beat the great teams. Baker Mayfield is solid and has weapons, but so is Matthew Stafford. Sean McVay is a better tactician than Todd Bowles. Both of these teams tend to play close games. Rams win but fail to cover

Monday, November 24, 8pm

Carolina Panthers at San Francisco 49ers (-6 1/2) — The Panthers are vastly improved in recent weeks, but the 49ers have been revitalized with the return of Brock Purdy. Beating Arizona means little, but the 49ers were pretty good before Purdy went down. Christian McCaffrey will run through his old team. The San Francisco defense will handle Bryce Young. 49ers cover
