NFL 2026 Week 6 Prequel
Thursday, October 15, 2026, 8pm
Seattle Seahawks (-2 1/2) at Denver Broncos — A pair of good football teams face off. The Broncos will be angry coming off a tough road loss at unbeaten San Francisco. As good as the Seahawks are, this game has home field advantage written all over it. Upset special, Broncos win outright
Sunday, October 18, 9:30am
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-2 1/2) in London — The Texans finally got a win, but that was over still winless Tennessee. Now they face a Jaguars squad that pretty much has London as their second home. The chess match is between Trevor Lawrence and Demeco Ryans’s defense, but the Texans don’t get the benefit of the doubt until they win a big game. Jaguars cover
1pm
Baltimore Ravens (-5 1/2) at Cleveland Browns — Tyler Snoop Huntley played well in relief of injured Lamar Jackson last week, but Action Jacson is back. King derrick Henry is running wild, but Cleveland’s defense is for real. Deshaun Watson is improving despite a tough road last week in miserable weather. The spread is too high for a road team with a quarterback who may not be 100% healthy. Ravens win but fail to cover
Carolina Panthers (-1 1/2) at Philadelphia Eagles — The Panthers are playing halfway decent while the Eagles have surprisingly lost three straight. At home, they will right the ship given that they gave away one of those losses. THey’ll correct the carelessness. Upset special, Eagles win outright
Chicago Bears (-1 1/2) at Atlanta Falcons — The good news for the Bears is that Caleb Williams is back from injury. Yet the Falcons are a reborn team with Michael Penix back from injury. Home field is less of an issue than Penix being in the groove and Bijan Robinson running insane. Upset special, Falcons win outright
New Orleans Saints (-1 1/2) at New York Giants — The Saints are a mess. The Giants can run the ball. Jameis Winston has a reputation for recklessness but John Harbaugh may just go smash mouth to take the pressure off of Winston. Upset special, Giants win outright
New York Jets at Ne England Patriots (-7 1/2) — Sometimes an inferior team can go on the road and shock a hated and much better opponent in an upset for the ages. The Jets did that to the Patriots 15 years ago in the playoffs. They haven’t done anything since. Lightning will not strike twice, even in miserable New England Nor’Easters. Same Jets. Same Patriots. Same result. Patriots cover
Pittsburgh Steelers (-2 1/2) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers — The Buccaneers finally won their first game of the season last week. The Steelers are not that special, and Aaron Rodgers is not getting a ton of help. Yet Baker Mayfield is out injured again. Go with the team that has the quarterback. Steelers cover
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (-6 1/2) — The Colts are nothing special, but the Titans are wretched. With Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor, the Colts have more than enough firepower to win this one without too much difficulty.
4pm
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-12 1/2) — The Cardinals are as awful as expected, but the Rams are not nearly as dominant as expected. The Rams are a surprising 2-3, having lost to some of the best teams in the league. They lost last week at home in overtime against Buffalo. The rams will be angry and take it out on the Cardinals, but this game has garbage time touchdown to beat the spread written all over it. Rams win but fail to cover
Buffalo Bills (-4 1/2) at Las Vegas Raiders — The Raiders were exposed last week, getting blasted by 4 touchdowns at New England. They were awful in every phase. The Bills won a thriller in overtime at the Rams. Josh Allen will torch the Raiders suspect pass defense. The Raiders may keep it competitive for almost three quarters, but not four. They will get the benefit of the doubt after they win a big game. Bills win but fail to cover
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-8 1/2) — The Chargers are shockingly awful and winless while the Chiefs are back in business and undefeated. The Chiefs tend to play down to the level of their competition. A garbage touchdown is a possibility. Chiefs win but fail to cover
8pm
Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers (-1 1/2) — The Cowboys have no defense. The Packers offense is finally starting to pick up after being sluggish to start the season. The Cowboys lost at home to a previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers team. The Cowboys are just broken and this game is not going to fix them. Dan Prescott and Jordan Love both have weapons but the home field and the better by default defense favor Green Bay. Packers cover
Monday, October 19, 8pm
Washington Commanders at San Francisco 49ers (-7 1/2) — Jayden Daniels returns for the Commanders, but a guy recovering from a dislocated elbow does not want to play the San Francisco defense. The 49ers shut down a good Denver team lsat week. The spread is high but the 49ers have the weapons on offense and defense. The 49ers are unbeaten for a reason and will stay that way. 49ers cover
