Before getting to football, this weekend is all about Daytona Beach. I am speaking tonight at the Florida Tea Party Convention. Attendance and spirits are high, and people are galvanized.
I have never enjoyed relaxing or smelling the roses. On vacation in Hawaii, after a few minutes sitting poolside, I was bored out of my mind. I went shopping at the mall.
I don’t do relaxation. So even though I am staying at a luxury resort (The Hilton, thankfully Paris is not here), with the waves right outside my window, looking at the waves for more than 60 seconds is beyond my patience. They are there whether I look at them or not, so back to the computer I go.
I am sure the waves are lovely and relaxing. I should make enough money to pay someone to look at them for me.
As spectacular as my navel is, I just don’t have time to gaze at it right now.
Time to get back to the convention, the most important event in the history of Daytona not associated with NASCAR racing.
