NFL 2022 Week 10 Prequel

Thursday, November 10, 2022, 8pm

Atlanta Falcons (-3) at Carolina Panthers — The Falcons lost a heartbreaker last week but have been competitive every week. The Panthers are in transition, and Steve Wilks fired several assistants after last week’s loss. Marcus Mariota is better than PJ Walker. Falcons cover

Sunday, November 13, 9:30am

Seattle Seahawks at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2 1/2) — The Seahawks have been playing very good football to maintain a lead in the NFC West. Tom Brady pulled a rabbit out of his hat to get the Buccaneers a win they desperately needed. This game will go a long way toward seeing whether they saved their season or delayed the decline. Go with the home field and the experience over a Seahawks team with heart. Buccaneers cover

1pm

Minnesota Vikings at Buffalo Bills (-7 1/2) — The Vikings are 7-1, but playing at Buffalo is a tough test. The Bills will be angry after a road loss to the Jets. The Bills have the better defense. Kirk Cousins is playing well, but Josh Allen is at an elite level. Allen may have injured his elbow last week. This will not be a cakewalk for the Bills, since the Vikings can run the ball. Bills win but fail to cover

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (-2 1/2) — The Lions won a shocker at home against Green Bay last week. Chicago is improving, but Justin Fields is now being overhyped just as strongly as he was cast off a couple weeks ago. Go with the home field, especially since the Detroit defense cannot stop anyone. Bears cover

Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs (-9 1/2) — The Chiefs had a tough time last week, but Tennessee has a much tougher defense than the Jaguars. The Chiefs have too many weapons. This will not be close. Chiefs cover

Cleveland Browns at Miami Dolphins (-4) — Jacoby Brissett is competent, but Tua Tagovailoa has been playing very well. Nick Chubb can run the ball, but the Dolphins have the better defense. Dolphins win but fail to cover

Houston Texans at New York Giants (-6 1/2) — The Giants lost a road game at Seattle, but they are still much improved. The Texans may be the worst team in the league. The Giants do not win easily. Saquon Barkley can run, but a garbage touchdown for the Texans is possible. Giants win but fail to cover

New Orleans Saints (-2 1/2) at Pittsburgh Steelers — The Steelers are a mess. The Saints have a defense, Their offense has not played a complete game yet. Expect the Saints defense to feast on rookie Kenny Pickett. Saints cover

Denver Broncos at Tennessee Titans (-3) — Malik Willis had a rough game in place of the injured Ryan Tannehill. Denver has a very good defense but no offense. The Tennessee defense is tough and Derrick Henry runs hard. Titans cover

4pm

Indianapolis Colts at Las Vegas Raiders (-6) — The Colts fired Frank reich and replaced him with Jeff Saturday, who has never coached a game at any level. The Raiders have blown three leads of 17 or more points. At home, trust Derek Carr over Sam Ehlinger. The Raiders lack the killer instinct to close out games that should be easy on paper. Raiders win but fail to cover

Dallas Cowboys (-5) at Green Bay Packers — The Cowboys are very good. The Packers have lost five straight games. The Green Bay defense is not bad, but their offense is badly misfiring. Cowboys win but fail to cover

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-3) — Neither of these teams is playing good football. Sean McVay is a better play-caller than Kliff Kingsbury. Aaron Donald is still elite. The Rams beat up Tom Brady for 59 minutes and collapsed in the final minute. kyler Murray is not Tom Brady. Rams cover

8pm

Los Angeles Chargers at San Francisco 49ers (-7) — The 49ers are playing solid defense. The Chargers consistently underachieve. Jimmy Garoppolo has more weapons than Justin Herbert. The spread is too high. 49ers win but fail to cover

Monday, November 14, 8pm

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles (-10 1/2) — Taylor Heinecke is not playing badly, but the Eagles are undefeated for a reason. A division game in prime time means a garbage touchdown could beat the spread. Eagles win but fail to cover
