NFL 2026 Week 8 Prequel
Thursday, October 29, 2026, 8pm
Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers (-3 1/2) — The Packers are playing decent football after starting somewhat slowly. The Panthers got blasted at home lsat week by 30 points against a below average Tampa Bay team. This is a game to go with the home field advantage. The Panthers lack the firepower to go on the road into a hostile stadium like lambda and get a win. Jordan Love should be able to move the ball. Packers cover
Sunday, November 1, 1pm
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-6 1/2) — The Cowboys offense feasted on a spiraling Eagles team playing a backup quarterback. Now they take on an awful Cardinals team. Dan Prescott should go to CeeDee Lamb early and often. The Cowboys much maligned defense will get another break as the offense keeps them moving. Cowboys cover
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2 1/2) — The Falcons improved when Michael Penix returned. The same is true with the Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield. The Buccaneers went on the road last week and throttled Carolina by 30 points. Home field does not matter, and Bijan Robinson should be able to run the ball without much difficulty. One game is not a trend. Upset special, Flacons win outright
Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills (-3 1/2) —The Ravens get Lamar Jackson back. Yet in a game between two good football teams led by superstar quarterbacks, the home field is the difference. The Bills Mafia do make a difference at home. Josh Allen will do enough in what could come down to the final play. Bills win but fail to cover
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3 1/2) — The Steelers won an ugly game in France, and now they play the surprising 5-2 first place Browns. The Dawg Pound has a good defense, but asking them to go on the road and beat hated Pittsburgh is a tall task. Aaron Rodgers will not make it look easy, and fatigue from the France trip could matter early. but another ugly win is in the cards. Chris Boswell could be the difference. Steelers win but fail to cover
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (-9 1/2) — The Colts are falling apart, although they almost took down unbeaten Minnesota last week. The Jaguars lost a stunning game at home to Houston, but that will not matter this week. The spread is high given the Jaguars sometimes playing to the level of their opponents. Trevor Lawrence should not have too much difficulty this week bu a garbage time Colts touchdown is possible. Jaguars win but fail to cover
Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets (-1 1/2) — The Raiders have lost 4 straight after their 3-0 mirage. Yet the Jets lost at home to previously winless Miami. The Raiders lost to good teams but beat up on bad teams. The Jets are a bad team. The Raiders are below average but can get to average. Kirk Cousins is playing well. This is the week the Raiders get back on track given that the Jets are lacking talent. Geno Smith will not get revenge on one of the many teams that gave up on him. Upset special, Raiders win outright
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-3 1/2) — The Vikings are unbeaten but winning hideously ugly. Their defense is fantastic and their offense is atrocious. Starter Kyler Murray is facing calls to be benched despite being on the NFL’s only unbeaten team. The Lions barely survived last week after Dan Campbell gambled and lost on 4th and 1 from his own 24.. This game is the Lions high octane offense against the Vikings defense. Go with the home field, as the Vikings luck finally runs out. Lions win but fail to cover
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals (-10 1/2) — The Titans are terrible. The Bengals are good. Joe Burrow is playing well. Cam Ward is not. The spread is high, but his game could be over by halftime. Bengals cover
4pm
Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams (6 1/2) — The Chargers are winless while the Rams righted the ship last week by beating up on the sinking Raiders. Although these teams share a stadium, the Chargers are just renters. Their misery will not end this week. The Rams own the stadium and on this day will own the Chargers. Justin Herbert has regressed under Mike McDaniel, who could be fired soon. Matthew Stafford will not have many hinderances this week. Rams cover
Kansas City Chiefs (-1 1/2) at Denver Broncos — he Chiefs were finally knocked from the unbeaten ranks as they ran into a Seattle buzzsaw. The Broncos also have a solid defense and a quarterback in Bo Nix who can move the ball. Patrick Mahomes remains all world and Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo remain geniuses, but this home field matters. Sean Payton is also a coaching stud when it comes to creative play calling. In a battle of greats on both sides, go with the home field. Upset special, Broncos cover
New England Patriots (-6 1/2) at Miami Dolphins — The Dolphins finally got a win against the lowly Jets, but the Patriots are back to dominating them. Drake Maye has fixed some of his issues and Mike Vrabel brings a physical game with running the ball and defense. he Dolphins lack the talent to make this competitive and home field is irrelevant here. Patriots cover
8pm
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders (-5 1/2) — he Eagles are collapsing, having lost 5 straight for the first time in a decade. hey are playing with a backup quarterback and got blasted at home last week by a Dallas team that is not that good. The Commanders are not good either but at home against a wounded Eagles team should be tha tonic they need. The spread is too high for a battle of bad teams. Commanders win but fail to cover
Monday, November 2, 8pm
Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks (-3 1/2) — The defending champion Seahawks are back, as the Dark Side bottled up previously unbeaten Kansas City. Sam Darnold and Caleb Williams can both play, but nobody makes a team have home field advantage like the 12th man in the Pacific Northwest. After last week, it is ok to believe in Seattle again at home. Seahawks cover
