My Conference Call With Republican Strategists

Yesterday I was on the telephone with some Republican new media strategists.

The session was very useful and very informative.

The main focus was the budget. After President Obama speaks tonight, a press conference tomorrow with analysis will follow.

Over the last three weeks, the main issue has been the budget. It spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much. This was validated by CBO estimates from this past Friday.

In 2009, the projected deficit will be 1.7 trillion. This is 12% of GDP. In 2010 the projected deficit will be 1.1 trillion, 8% of GDP. These are the highest levels since the World War II era.

On the tax side, this is a national energy tax in the form of cap and trade. This will be three thousand dollars per household. This is being referred to as a lightswitch tax.

On the borrowing side, in five years, 1/7 will go towards finance charges on the debt.

An organization known as Organizing For America is comprised of members of Obama’s campaign team. They will be in charge of selling the budget. They sent out 14 million emails, and got only 300,000 hits. That is a 2% success rate.

When we sent out our information about the tea parties going on around America, we received 188,000 hits. I am sure we have less than 14 million email contacts. They have work to do.

As for the AIG deal, we have no idea who and why was behind this fiasco involving the bonuses. Barack Obama seems to have ducked the issue, and let Geithner and Dodd take the heat.

Right now we are all being asked to accept a quick legislative remedy without the consequences being considered. That is what got us into this mess to begin with.

The Tygrrrr Express is leaving South Florida for Los Angeles. Upon arriving home, I will listen to what President Obama has to say. We shall see.

  1. Dav Lev says:

Several months ago, I happen to be in a supermarket that also
has a Wells Fargo Bank branch. After reading the local large circulation newspaper, I couldn’t keep from both crying (and bursting in anger) over an article about this the same bank and the government’s bailout of same.

I walked up to the loan officer at the branch and just told him what
I thought. He said, “okay”, and politely said he didn’t know much about
    what was going on.

Of course he knew, but was being tactful.

My advice to him (for what it meant) was to have the government slap
a lien on all the homes for the amount of the bailout, proportional to
any help given to each home., just as it puts a tax lien on all the assets
existing or acquired by a tax deadbeat (delinquent).

The IRS can foreclose on it’s lien through the courts, (a judicial foreclosure), or simply sieze it’s lien equity in assets, unless they are
exempt ( court ordered child payments, unimployment insurance, assets that prime the IRS such as financing agreements, etc.).

I was against the TARP and am against money going to
the large investment banks or banks whatsoever. I think the governnment
should stay out of executive compensation regulation, but it could
regulate it’s own salaries (they instigated this mess in my opinion).

I am for helping the millions of homeowners who borrowed to purchase
homes in the suburbs, thus achieving their dream of ownerhip in
a safer environment for their children and getting a piece of the American
dream. I cannot totally forgive them for borrowing above their ability
to pay the loans back over time, yet understand the sales pitch they
should not have been given. Like with Mr. Madoff, they were fooled.

Yet, as someone from the B of A told me 13 years ago, “We are in the
busines of loaning, and cannot hold back funds speculating on who and who cannot pay back these loans. “We simply do not know the future,
    things happen.”

    I understand that logic.

So what to do? Well, the Feds can hold giant auctions so to speak…
of the homes under foreclosure or where the owners simply cannot
pay the loans., and allow the markets to determine their value.
Any aid given to homeowners, can be secured by liens, that
will last the life of the property, not the 10 years now in the IRCode.

Securities backing the mortgages can be sold similarly.

This way, new buyers will determine the worth of these properties.
Or as we say, “Let the buyer beware”.

And let me tell you this, there will alwsays be a demand for homes,
with over 1.5 million new buyers coming into the market each year
alone. There has been also a foreign market for our property just
look around neighborhoods. If anyone doubts the future, just look
at all those geaming students each year who graduate.or the faces of
mothers with new born babies..anticipating their futures. Someday
all these people will need homes. It’s just that simple.

Given the right price, renters are out there who would like to own
    their own homes.

Anyone buying a home, or getting government aid, would not
be given tax exemptions on their sale..250,000 and 500,000. That equity
would be primed by the government aid. The real estate deduction
on their tax returns should be eliminated, in total.

I ask myself sometimes, why should someone, who has seen
an increase in their equity, be given this priviledge, when we renters
have no such exemptions. We cannot itemize.

So far, the entire stimulus package, including the bail-outs, has been a complete dud, a bust!

As far as increasing employment, I ask where? Show me?
How many times can you build the same bridge, the same road?

If this country needs credit to flow, then let the government loan the
money, to businesses, commerical real estate investors, students
and car buyers…at decent interest rates, and secured by the government’s lien, the way the IRS secures taxes due and not paid
on the form 1040 and 1120. If need be, hire a few thousand more
collection people to enforce the tax liens. It works. 85% of we Americans pay our taxes on time, the correct amount and file required tax returns.

  2. The projected deficits are just plain that – projected. It’s impossible to predict where they’ll really be in a few years time. The CBO usually uses pretty solid numbers, so they may be pretty close, but we really don;t know where this global recession is heading right now. All I know is that it’s pretty funny to hear people like Mitch McConnell complain about deficits.

While I’m not a fan of “cap and trade” (I prefer just plain ol’ “cap”), I can’t imagine how it would increase energy costs by three thousand dollars per household, or how you could call it a “tax.” This isn’t true in Europe, so why would it be true here? On the other hand, cap and trade just doesn’t do much to reduce pollution, whereas just plain capping can do a lot.

I also don’t understand comments like this one from Dan Lev: “So far, the entire stimulus package, including the bail-outs, has been a complete dud, a bust!” The stimulus just passed. It will be quite a while before anyone can say for sure what the effects of the stimulus were. Me thinks someone is just rationalizing their own presuppositions.

    JMJ

  3. Micky 2 says:

” All I know is that it’s pretty funny to hear people like Mitch McConnell complain about deficits. ”
They’re out there, we all create them, that doesnt mean we have to like em, and we can rightfully complain against them. And then you have to consider the leigitimization of that deficit
But we sure as hell can dislike em on the scale obama will grow them to !

  4. Micky 2 says:

“The projected deficits are just plain that – projected. It’s impossible to predict where they’ll really be in a few years time. ”

The point is that Obamas team has much lower predictions abd since you yourself say that the CBOs numbers are usually pretty solid I would be a little concerned.

  5. Well, I’m not exactly happy about any of this, Micky, but this is what ya’ get when you let the laizzez faire corporatists run the government for an extended period of time. Obama’s problem is that he can’t, or just won’t, do what it is really necessary to turn this country around, which would be a much more massive investment in the nations physical and institutional infrastructure, a single payor healthcare system, relief for higher education expenses, and the permanent contraction of the ridiculous military industrial complex – like at least by half. Hopefully he’ll be able to do more as time goes by, but he only has so much time and poltical capital to accomplish even a good portion of those requisite changes and reforms, and he appears not to have the will to do much of it. Just the same, I’m darn glad he’s in there instead of yet another Republican corporate puppet!

    JMJ

  6. Micky 2 says:

“Just the same, I’m darn glad he’s in there instead of yet another Republican corporate puppet!”

    Corporate puppet ?
Thats funny, he got more money from AIG than everyone all put together.
I think there were two cons on the list who got less than 50,000 ea. The other three dems recieved almost 800,000.00, Obama recieving 250,000.00 of that
I’d sweat that one a little before I took him off the corporate puppet list.

  7. Micky 2 says:

yea, that math didnt come out right, sorry.
The two dems took around 50,000 ea. Obama definitley recieved 250,000.00

  8. That doesn’t make it okay, Micky. Just because Dems do what Reps do, doesn’t make it right. The fact of the matter is that a lot of corporate money shifted from the GOP to the Dems starting back in 2006 when it became apparent that the GOP was on the outs. Corporate donors don’t like to waste their money on political losers. And it’s terrible, and I’m glad you seem to think so too, but I doubt you’d apply that same sentiment to GOP politicians.

    JMJ

  9. Micky 2 says:

I didnt say it made it okay.
But you cant say that you want this situattion absent of corporate puppets when your own man is one himself.
I did apply the same sentiments to the cons as above I mentioned them on the take also.

Point is, the man your promoting has actually indulged in the practice to an extreme greater than those you condemn for doing the same.

Yea, the con bad guys stole a stick of gum.
Obama robbed the whole damn store and consequently has a much bigger interest invested.
So with that in mind along with the money Frank and Schumer got you wonder why this language was allowed to let these bonuses thru when it was these people who should of been directly resposible for omitting it.

  10. I said “Republican corporate puppet.” And there is a difference. The difference can be seen by looking back over the terms of the last presidents and congresses, who benefited and who did not. But beyond that, Obama is much less a corporate shill than Bush, by far in a long way. Obama is far more intelligent, and more of his campaign donations came in small amounts from individuals than any president in modern history. He is much more his own man than any president we’ve had in my lifetime.

And the bonuses really shouldn’t be such a story, as the hypocritical cons who can’t seem to shut up about it would do well to remember. Even if the congress wrote bonus-scrubbing language into the bailouts, contract law may well have trumped it. And the GOP sure didn’t do anything to avert these sorts of scandals in the past. It was the symbolism that upset people, but if the GOP thinks it is somehow exempt from or above that picture, then they’re only fooling themselves.

It’s like these sleazy GOP governors who are refusing stimulus moneys. First, they’re all lying – they are taking money, most of it. Secondly, they are all from federal welfare states who get far more back from the federal government in spending then they pay in taxes. Thirdly, their states are cesspits that desparately need whatever they can get.

Or take these crooked cons who voted against the stimulus only to return to their districts to proudly announce the moneys they were bringing home from it.

This is all hypocrisy of the sleaziest sort. I’ll be the first to decry the Dems when they misbehave, but you cons are simply too addicted to the Kool Aid to EVER admit what’s wrong in your ranks. It’s Reagan’s old 11th Commandment, and it stinks.

    JMJ

  11. Micky 2 says:

“Obama is much less a corporate shill than Bush, ”

    Bull.
Theres no difference other than this time Obama has taken it to a whole new level.
You dont think Obama has some political capitol invested in these trillions hes dishing out ????? You dont think this money is to put him up front in 2012 ?? If you cant see that you’re in deep doo doo buddy.
Gimme a huge freakin break PLEASE !!!

” It was the symbolism that upset people, but if the GOP thinks it is somehow exempt from or above that picture, then they’re only fooling themselves.”

    I never said they shouldnt.
What I said was that you cant complain when Obama has outdone everyone in this dept.

“It’s like these sleazy GOP governors who are refusing stimulus moneys. First, they’re all lying – they are taking money, most of it. Secondly, they are all from federal welfare states who get far more back from the federal government in spending then they pay in taxes. Thirdly, their states are cesspits that desparately need whatever they can get.”

Whats the matter with being able to say in 2012 that they didnt need or want it ?
Why would any sensible governor want to be commited to programs that the fed only pays so much of and when the bank runs dry they have to continue the program on state funds ?
Palin doesnt really need what she turned down simply because she knows damn well she gets enough if not more than anyone else.
    Alaska is hardly a cesspit
    Smart girl.

“This is all hypocrisy of the sleaziest sort. I’ll be the first to decry the Dems when they misbehave, but you cons are simply too addicted to the Kool Aid to EVER admit what’s wrong in your ranks. It’s Reagan’s old 11th Commandment, and it stinks.”

I never said cons were exempt, its youre koolaid that keeps you saying things I’ve already cleared up.
    Knock it off little boy.
Its all a game and the means justify the ends.
Obamas end game will be a disaster with only dems being in power who dont really care about the people.
I dont want a huge govenment breathing down every aspect of my lifes neck. I dont want half of corporate America to have to answer to the fed.
And I sure as hell dont want my son paying you bills until hes 50.

  12. Micky, Obama isn’t “shelling out” anything. Most of the moneys are going to the statehouses. Obama is spending his political capital on the gamble that his and the congress’ version take on Keynesian theory will pull us out of this malais. It’s far from gauranteed. If the economy continues to collapse or just doesn’t turn around enough by 2012, that political capital expenditure will become a politically fatal liability. And to say that Obama has “outdone everyone” when it comes to the symbolism of caitalism run ask is just plain stupid, and exceedingly hypocritical.

“Whats the matter with being able to say in 2012 that they didnt need or want it?”

It’s a lie! They took it! They only selectively abstained from some of it! And to make matters worse, they already take more than the other states in federal expenditures per capita! THEY ARE ALL LIARS AND PHONIES.

As for “the bill,” the vast majority of that bill comes directly from the sleazy spend-but-don’t-tax GOP one party state and the rest of it indirectly from the disaster area they left behind. I’ll be sure MY grandkids know the truth, and everyone else’s whop ask me, know that.

    JMJ

  13. Micky 2 says:

“Micky, Obama isn’t “shelling out” anything.”

    Bull.
AIG is just the tip of the iceberg.
There are 400 + banks alone receiving bailout monies.
    Gimme a break alright ? Please ?
    I’m not an idiot.
If you think Obama dished out 3.6 trillion and he doesnt have some favors coming his way you’re an idiot

” And to say that Obama has “outdone everyone” when it comes to the symbolism of caitalism run ask is just plain stupid, and exceedingly hypocritical.”

The problem is that its N O T capitalism, its socialistic wealth redistribution.

    “It’s a lie! They took it! ”

No, they didnt, not the percentage they say they didnt want.
    Period.

“They only selectively abstained from some of it! ”

Yup, and the more they abstain from the better they look. Palin looks good (er)

“And to make matters worse, they already take more than the other states in federal expenditures per capita! THEY ARE ALL LIARS AND PHONIES.”

No they’re not, I made the point that Palin isnt taking what she doesnt need or want.

You know, believe it or not, some of these people actually have scruples, ethics, morals, and an agenda that can work with all that very well.
I dont see why it pee’s you off so much that people are turning down taxpayer dollars that we cant afford to pay back.
I think it jusdt pee’s you off because they’re ahead of the curve.

“Take the money dammit !!! If you dont you’re evil “!!!!

    LOL

  14. Micky 2 says:

You dont have any kids, where are the grankids coming from ? entitlements ? recycled orphans ?

  15. Laree says:

I wish someone would ask him about Children Of the Mountain Special by Diane Sawyer she did it to pressure his constituents to vote for Obama’s first stimulus bill porkus giganticus.

  16. Guys, please show a little class and don’t hit below the belt on the kids thing. That’s not cool. I want kids more than anything in life. It’s not my fault I don’t have any. I’m still holding out hope. It’s not funny. I also have a heart problem. My dog just died. Wanna make a joke about those things?

I know you guys don’t mean any harm, you’re all good guys, but please have a little more sympathy. I wouldn’t wish these things on you guys.

Now, the bailout thing, again, stop the hypocrisy. Be it Obama, McCain, Bush or whoever, the bailout of the banks and AIG would still have happened (and did), just as Reagan bailed out the S&Ls back in the 80’s with the RTC. They all did it and do it – It’s like accusing someone of blinking. Personally, I would rather the money came with more strings attached. I think most people do. You guys would rather the money simply wasn’t doled out at all, but that’s a rather narrow opinion. You just aren’t looking at the big picture. AIG’s collapse would be calamitous, to say the least. No president, Democrat or Republican, would let that happen. Hopefully, in the future, we won’t have so many of these “too big to fail” entities out there, so the free market can stay free – and functional.

As for “socialism” and “wealth redistibution” I think no one has been more guilty of that then the GOP in recent history, shifting wealth to the very tippy top, propping entire industries on the taxpayers dole, doling out contracts to useless entities who do nothing but accept the money, handing out public land and airwaves and water like it’s going out of style. The Democrats may be a little more amendable to the needs of the poor, but the GOP is far more amenable to the wealthy. It is the GOP that doled out shady contracts like candy on Halloween for years on end. It was the GOP that propped up Big Agro, Big Pharma, Big Insurance (like AIG), and the MIC for all those years. Far more money went into those entities than to the poor, by a long ways. Again, I call hypocrisy.

And these governors are taking MOST of the stimulus money offered them, and all of them get more from the federal government than they pay into it. They are ALL liars and phonies – Sanford, Palin, Jindal – ALL of them. And the GOPer’s who voted against the stimulus all have money from it coming into their districts, taking the sleazy political way out by voting against something they knew would pass and then gladly taking the money from it, some even boasting about the windfalls they brought home to their districts. HYPOCRITS and LIARS. ALL OF THEM.

    JMJ

  17. Micky 2 says:

“Guys, please show a little class and don’t hit below the belt on the kids thing. That’s not cool.”

Its cool if you act as if you’ve got some.
The question you posed was bull because you dont have kids.
Its no different than saying “oh, whats my wife supposed to do”? if you’re not married.

Jersey, I’ve argued all that crap with you before.

The “bailout thing” comes with a heightend level of taxation that will carry on for generations to come. I can actually b*tch about my kids and grankids suffering because I have some, I have skin in this game. literally.

“As for “socialism” and “wealth redistibution” I think no one has been more guilty of that then the GOP in recent history”

    Thats just a lie.
Dems are notorious for establishing welfare states and promising entitlements, now you’re just making stuff up.
On one hand you b*tch about how cons are unfair to minorities and low income people by standing in the way of entitlements and on the other hand when it suits you, you say were are more guilty of wealth redistribution than the dems.
    Get it together.

“And these governors are taking MOST of the stimulus money offered them, and all of them get more from the federal government than they pay into it.”
Once again Einstein, for the third time.
Thats the reason they’re not taking it because they dont need it, or the strings atached.
They’re just being smart all the way around.
You should be proud of them, they know that everyone knows what their usuall allotments are and are simply saying that with what they’ve got they’ll be just fine.
They’re also saying they dont want to be a part of the biggest fleecing and generational theft this country has ever seen.

I could go on forever how screwed up this whole deal is.
But I’ll try to condense it. Whenever you put a bunch of money out there like this weve always had problems with corruption.
    BUT MAN !!!
MORE THAN 3 TRILLION DOLLARS IN ONE CRACK ???
YOU CAN BET YOUR SWEET HINEY THERES GONNA BE A WHOLE LOTTA HELL BREAKING LOOSE !!!
This is going to cost way more than it was worth, its almost 5th grade math

  18. Micky, the money the cons have doled out in corporate welfare and the ridicuous military state dwarfs welfare and “entitlements” – which everyone pays into and gets to enjoy when they need it. The bighgest “fleecing” we’ve ever seen took place on the GOP’s watch, when they doubled the national debt for NOTHING.

    JMJ

  19. Toma says:

    Gentlemen, Gentlemen,

All we have to do is wait and see what congress takes control of, owns and operates in the next four years plus. How much tax we will be paying, what energy costs will be (gasoline, diesel and oil will be rationed), what our dollar will be worth, what medical costs are, and our military will be stripped.

Therefore, there will probably be a mosque in your neighborhood and your daughters and granddaughters will be wearing Burkas, if you want them to live. Or, Mexican drug cartels will stimulate the economy and protect us by patroling our streets with assult weapons purchased from law abiding citizens who own them by the hundreds and are looking for buyers. Or, Obama’s “GIVE ACT” will create a Civilian National Security Force that we count on to confiscate our many assult weapons and any thing else they consider a weapon.

Or, all this nationalizing, spending, taxing, grandstanding committee hearings, finger pointing, name calling, news conferences, tonight show appearances will somehow solve something.

Congress has a plan? Obama has a Plan? I am not hearing any thing that I like. And, what I see coming no one will like.

    Toma

  20. Micky 2 says:

“Micky, the money the cons have doled out in corporate welfare ”

I wasnt talking about tax breaks that go to corporations that make jobs, products and revenues to be taxed, I was talking about welfare to the demographics you guys pay to for votes who produce nothing.
    NOTHING !
The money you guys dole out offers no return other than some jerk sittin on his a$$ crying he cant get a job because hes so unique or some broad who cant keep her legs crossed.

“and the ridicuous military state dwarfs welfare and “entitlements” ”

“Ridiclous” doesnt count as its been deemned necessary and voted on pretty much equally by both parties that these wars should be fought and funded.

” which everyone pays into and gets to enjoy when they need it.”

    Thats a big fat lie.
There are millions of Americans across the country that dont want any part of it. They have pride, dignity, and sense of responsibilty. Pretty much all of us need it right now but the numbers at DHHS dont reflect this.
Millions are instead cutting back or altering their lifestyle in order to make ends meet and not running to nearest food stamp office.
I qualify to be written off at 60% disability, I wont take it, I’m not really that disabled, I dont need it or take it.

“The bighgest “fleecing” we’ve ever seen took place on the GOP’s watch, when they doubled the national debt for NOTHING.”

    Right, “nothing” ?
You may not agree with the war(s) but most did and thats that.
911 added to that deficit along with Katrina.

    Look buddy, do the math.
Bush left Obama deficit of a little more than a trillion bucks.
The biggest deficit ever in terms of dollars were actually higher in the 80s and 90s as a percentage of the “whole” economy.
Even if Obama totally clears Bushs deficit he will still be stuck with his own of more than 3 – 5 – 10 trillion by 2012, the numbers are all over the place depending where you go but there is no doubt that this jerk has spent more in his first 30 days than any president has ever spent in his whole term (adjusting for the dollar value).
WE do have something to show for Bushs efforts whether you like it or not and I dont care to type the list up for you again.
As far as Obama goes, we will see. But so far all I see is a grab fest fisaco in place with hearings, investigations and a whole lot of confusion as to just how this money of ours is going to help save the economy.
People are mad because nothing is being laid out to them in specific terms as to just how this plan is supposed to work. Its all still about the “hope and change” rhetoric we heard for 2 years.
Obama is loosing support and so is the dem congress, AIG most feel is just tip of the ice berg in corruption attached to the bailouts, stimulus and TARP that we will see to come.

From one man to another, do you really think you can just throw this much money out in the street and greed and insanity wont take over ?
Regardless of the strings attached in accepting this money ?

Thats the mentallity that got us here in the first place, take the money now, worry about the consequences later.
Obama is just feeding into the same kind of frenzy that the CRA, and F&F allowed.
Hes buying more house than he/we can afford, doesnt really have to show how he’ll pay for it, and the rates will change in a few years.
    Its that simple.
And like people like me who are paying for other peoples greed and carelessness I too along with my siblings will end up paying for Obamas greed, naivety, and carelessness.

  21. Okay Toma, what exactly do you believe the congress is going to take “control of, (own) and (operate) in the next four years plus”?

    This I gotta hear.

And how exactly do you thinkl the Dems and Obama can control energy prices?

And, in case you haven’t noticed, the one thing going up these days is the dollar!

And what makes you think medical costs will rise or fall with whatever Obama and the Dems do?

And what planet are you living on that you believe the deeply poltically entrenched Military Industrial Complex would even allow itself to be stripped by any party?

    And you from Earth?

“there will probably be a mosque in your neighborhood and your daughters and granddaughters will be wearing Burkas”

You need serious psychiatric help if you believe this.

    Micky,

“I wasnt talking about tax breaks that go to corporations that make jobs, products and revenues to be taxed,…”

Oh yeah! They sure did that alright! AAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Where the heck have you been???

Obama’s plans to secure the Mexican Border getting flack from the GREENS.

  23. Micky 2 says:

Okay Toma, what exactly do you believe the congress is going to take “control of, (own) and (operate) in the next four years plus”?

    This I gotta hear.”

I dont know, ask AIG about what happened to them and the 400 banks that turned down fed aid because of the strings attached

“And how exactly do you thinkl the Dems and Obama can control energy prices?”

You cap tax my company for X amount if usage I will make my customer pay the diff and the electricity company will raise its prices to pay for the tax and the loss in usage/revenues./
    Perty simple, yea ?

“And, in case you haven’t noticed, the one thing going up these days is the dollar!”

Ya think maybe the billions they just printed might have something to do with that ?
    LOL

“And what makes you think medical costs will rise or fall with whatever Obama and the Dems do?”

Thats just a really dumb question. If the cost doesnt rise I can almost guarantee under socialized medicine the quality will not be worth the dollar that pays for it.

“And what planet are you living on that you believe the deeply poltically entrenched Military Industrial Complex would even allow itself to be stripped by any party?”

gee, I dont know, ask Clinton, he managed to shrink the military down to nothing.

“You need serious psychiatric help if you believe this.”

The Bush administration enjoyed a consistent growth in GDP for 6 years after 911 sue to tax breaks that went to average americans and the coporate sector. It wasnt the greatest GDP but its a hell of alot more tham weve seen in the last few months.

Congress will own and operate anything it wants. Congress will establish control over any force it wants. It controls the money!!! The Dems are as we speak organizing community “volunteers” most of them union controlled, to establish, entrench, maintain voting blocs. Ask George Soros, they are a part of his master plan. Pay attention man I know you are not blind or deaf. Listen to what these people are saying. Visit some information sources besides Daily Kos. Read some other than NYT. CNN and Keith Olberman are not the only informations sources. Go to some Congressional activity sites and read what they are doing. Some times you have to read a measure several time as they are very good at double speak. Things are not always what they appear to be. Watch CSPAN.
Watch Congressional hearings. That is where I get my information and it is available to every one.

The Dems have banned off shore drilling and canceled oil and gas leases on public lands. Anwr has been deemed off-limits. Domestic oil production and exploration will be gutted. All petroleum products will be rationed. The cost of electric power will soar, windmills and solar panels will not be able to keep up. Electric cars will be too expensive to operate. We will not be able to grow enough corn for ethanol. Ethanol will be too expensive to use any way. China will take care of the dollar. China owns most of the U.S.

But their is a bright side. “GLOBAL WARMING”
