How to boycott Israel

I am on a plane today from Los Angeles to Chicago, then driving to Michigan for their GOP Convention on Saturday. Sunday I am in Wisconsin, followed by Monday in Chicago and flying home to Los Angeles.

For obvious reasons, I am outsourcing my column today. The woman who wrote the following piece may not be the original source, but as an old professor of mine once said, “There is no original thought.”

For those truly wishing to boycott Israel, some very useful information to assist in that endeavor is below.

“How to Boycott Israel

If you really want to stop Israel, please follow these simple instructions:

In your office or home, do not use any computers, as Israel developed The Intel Pentium chip, Windows MP, XP and Vista as well as Microsoft
Office and AOL IM instant messaging. Also remove your firewalls, as these were developed in Israel.

In your home and car, do not use cell phones that were developed in Israel by Motorola, as was voice mail and camera phones.

Quickly destroy your TV remote control, as this also was developed in Israel.

Now for your health: Do not under any circumstances let your Gastroenterologist use the camera pill you swallow that photographs your esophagus, colon, etc. Just let him ram his scope up your backside. That will show those Zionists who’s in charge.

Don’t use Copaxane for MS.

If you have a heart attack, do not let the surgeon put in a stint, which was developed in Israel, or use a defibrillator on you.

Also Decline the new Israeli medication for Parkinson’s or Ex Ablate 2000 if you have fibroid tumors.

We’ll show ’em!

Monica McMillen, TX”

For those wishing to boycott Syria, I offer my own thoughts.

Wake up every day, live your life as normal, and then go to sleep.

I would kill right now for a decent kosher deli. Its times like this I really miss NYC

  2. I’m sure Israel is a wonderful place and all, but the TV remote was not invented in Israel. Microsoft and Windows were American inventions. Intel is Silicon Valley corporation that I do believe does some manufacturing in Israel, but the Intel Pentium chip was not invented there either. Firewalls have been invented in various forms all over the world. Cell phones, as we know them today, were mainly inveneted here in the USA, Japan and Finland (of all places). As for the medical stuff, that may be true, I don;t know and I’m not going to bother looking it up, but, suffice to say, the anti-Syrian idiot from Texas is a moron.

“I don;t know and I’m not going to bother looking it up,’

    And you call people morons.

Thats okay because if Jersey says so it must be true !!!

Medicine… Israeli scientists developed the first fully computerized,no-radiation, diagnostic instrumentation for breast cancer.

An Israeli company developed a computerized system for ensuring proper

administration of medications, thus removing human error from medical treatment. Every year in U. S. hospitals 7,000 patients die from treatment mistakes.

Israel’s Givun imaging developed the first ingestible video camera, so small it fits inside a pill. Used to view the small intestine from the inside, the camera helps doctors diagnose cancer and digestive disorders.

Researchers in Israel developed a new device that directly helps the heart pump blood, an innovation with the potential to save lives among those with heart failure. The new device is synchronized with the heart’s mechanical operations through a sophisticated system of sensors.

Technology… With more than 3,000 high-tech companies and start-ups, Israel has the highest concentration of hi-tech companies in the world (apart from the Silicon Valley).

In response to serious water shortages, Israeli engineers and agriculturalists developed a revolutionary drip irrigation system to minimize the amount of water used to grow crops.

Israel has the highest percentage in the world of home computers per capita.

Israel leads the world in the number of scientists and technicians in the workforce, with 145 per 10,000, as opposed to 85 in the U. S., over 70 in Japan, and less than 60 in Germany. With over 25% of its work force employed in technical professions. Israel places first in this category as well.

The cell phone was developed in Israel by Motorola, which has its largest development center in Israel.

Most of the Windows NT operating system was developed by Microsoft-Israel.

The Pentium MMX Chip technology was designed in Israel at Intel.

Voice mail technology was developed in Israel.

Both Microsoft and Cisco built their only R&D facilities outside the US in Israel.

The AOL Instant Messenger was developed in 1996 by four young Israelis.

A new acne treatment developed in Israel, the ClearLight device, produces a high-intensity, ultraviolet-light-free, narrow-band blue light that causes acne bacteria to self-destruct – all without damaging surroundings skin or tissue.

An Israeli company was the first to develop and install a large-scale solar-powered and fully functional electricity generating plant, in southern California’s Mojave desert.”

All the above while engaged in regular wars with an implacable enemy that seeks its destruction, and an economy continuously under strain by having to spend more per capita on its own protection than any other country on earth. This from a country just 55 years young having started off life on a very frontiers-like basis, whose population had mostly just emerged from the devastating World War II years.

The Contributions of the Jewish Minds

    Date: . 23.4.07

    School: . ORT Guttman

    Name: . Nitzan

The Jewish population of the world is less than 0.6 percent of the world’s general population, but the Jewish people who won the Nobel prize are 22 percent of all the Nobel winners.

The Jews, although persecuted throughout history, have given the world some of the greatest minds in science and literature and they continue to contribute. Six Israeli Jews won the Nobel prize and many more contribute to science and to almost every other field.

The windows software, for example, was programmed almost entirely in Israel. The first anti-virus was developed in Israel. Israeli scientists created new ways to fight cancer and increased the efficiency of medicines.

One of the greatest achievements of 2006: the research made by Israeli scientist Shulamit Levenberg got us one step closer to creating new organs for transplant.

(Picture of Dr. Levenberg courtesy of

Israeli scientists also developed the first DNA computers, leading the way to even more efficient ways to fight diseases.

his is just a small example of the Israel achievements and if you still think we didn’t really changed the world take a look at your cell phone and remember this: the first cell phone in the world was developed in Israel.

    See, its easy Jersey.
You oughta try some research once in a while instead of your narcissitic insistance that your yap is all truth bearing

  8. Micky, like I said, I don’t have a problem with Israelis – or Syrians. As a people, Israelis have done many great things. So have Syrians. I’m not a big fan of the Syrian government, but then I’m not a big fan of any aristo-theo-one-party states. But Syrians themselves, for the most part, are perfectly nice and productive people. So are Israelis. I think, personally, Judaism plays a large part in the role of Israelis, and Jewish people in general, in the progress of man. Education, open-mindedness, a healthy dose of cynicism – these are all fundamental pillars of Jewish culture. Both Islam and Christianity have produced great minds and progress, but usually and most often only when the religions themselves are pushed aside and the relative cultures secularized. The Jews never really had that problem. Judaism rarely stands in the way of intellectualism, liberalism, innovation and progress. Christianity and Islam often stand in the way.

  9. Micky 2 says:

How the hell did we go from you being absolutely wrong on Israels inventions, innovations and contributions to Syria ?
WTF has any Islamic state invented ?
America is a predominantly Christian country thats responsible for inventions a million to one compared to these third world hell holes run by thocratic dictators.
Good grief man you’re talking out your a$$ so much you could lipstick it, walk on your hands and no one would know the difference.

    Eric was right.
    You were wrong.
    Were done

  10. Micky, you completely missed my point. Let me put it this way: the more Christian or Muslim a person is the less likely they would ever “invent” anything.

  11. Micky 2 says:

“the more Christian or Muslim a person is the less likely they would ever “invent” anything.”

Yeah, thats probably as true as your stupid claim that Eric was wrong.
Got anything to back it up besides your contempt for those with spiritual beliefs and anyone who doesnt believe in anything but you and your yap ?
Jews believe in God and I just proved to you how very capable they are of inventing incredible products and then you come out and say that Christians and Muslims are less likely to invent anything ?

Sorry man, you’re at a level of idiocy right now that I cant even relate to

  12. Micky 2 says:

    Talk about bigoted profiling ?

jeez, you take the cake bro

  13. Well, Micky, I stand by everything I said, and did say that it was just a personal opinion.

Liberals never get tired of being wrong. “Intellectual elites” never get tired of being wrong. Lets boycott Harvard.

Point in fact. Obama has ordered the EPA to revisit the “clean air act” and glean what ever power the EPA deems necessary. So the EPA is considering deeming lead bullets illegal. Brilliant. Lead, according to the EPA, is toxic and must be removed from existence. Brilliant.

Has anyone heard of “tin hairs”. Since the EPA has ordered that lead can not be used in micro-circuits tin has replaced the use of lead. But tin, it has been determined, grows “hairs” and causes short circuits and suddenly your cell phone burns out and then your satellite burns out then your communications and gps systems burn out. Well you get the picture. Fortunately most ciruitry has been updated and in most cases the problem has confronted but still in the process of being solved. So we are told. EPA is brilliant.

I was the mayor of my city a few years ago and had the opportunity to experience many EPA mandates aimed at what ever agenda the EPA was pushing. Mostly clean air, clean water, clean garbage and so on and so on. I scared most of the city leaders by making a statement at a public gathering that most of the mandates and orders from the EPA and our own state legislature were ridiculous and costly and I did not plan on complying. Most of the so-called mandates were recinded or amended with in months any way. It was obvious that the EPA did not know what it was doing and did not know how to do it. For example.

I got a letter from the Mayor of Anchorage Alaska informing me of the total ineptness of the EPA. He had recieved a letter, mandate, from the EPA informing him that a substance (I don’t remember now what the substance was) must be removed from all municipal water supplies and sources of supply. He was informed that he would be in compliance by said date or face fines of $40,000 per day until compliance is achieved. This was the standard EPA threat. The Mayor wrote the EPA to inform them that the Anchorage water supply did not contain any of the offending substance. The EPA wrote the Mayor telling him that the substance must be removed and if necessary he must add the substance to the water supply and then remove it so documentation providing the evidence of removal could be established and provided to the EPA. The Mayor wrote back and told the EPA to go to hell.

This is a true story “I kid you not”. The EPA later abandoned the removal of the offending substance. The people at the EPA still don’t know what they are doing. The oppressive mob needs to be shut down.

I may have that letter in my papers. I’ll see if I can find it and enter the actual contents. Their are other misadventures with the EPA that I can relate, concerning wetlands, dust particulate, lawnmowers, fireplaces, stockyards, feed lots and other EPA follies.

The liberal intellectual elite. Don’t have a clue.

Screw your opinions. You know what they say about opinions….right ?

Its the countries that stifle creativity.
    Not spirituality.
Its factually evident when you look at Israel and America where all faiths are tolerated
