18 Pro-Israel Companies

I want to make it clear that my column today has been 100% “outsourced.” However, if the information contained herein is right, I reserve the right to take full credit.

Otherwise, I have absolutely not verified the accuracy of this information. I found out it, “interesting,” and am passing it along.

I was sent a list of 18 companies that are Pro-Israel in their business dealings. 18 is a lucky number in Jewish culture, although in New York the legal age for consent is 17. Anyway, Israel’s country prefix is ‘729’ on bar codes. You will typically only see it on imported foods and not the products listed below… as many of the companies below are American companies that financially support Israel.

THE LIST…

1. The Chairman and CEO of STARBUCKS, Howard Schultz, is an active Zionist.

In 1998 he was honored by the Jerusalem Fund of Aish HaTorah with ‘The Israel 50th Anniversary Friend of Zion Tribute Award’ for his services to the Zionist s tate in ‘playing a key role in promoting close alliance between the United States and Israel’. At a time when other businesses were desperately pulling out of
Israel, Starbucks decided to help Israel’s floundering economy and invest in Israel. It has been revealed that Starbucks still continues to support Israel by sponsoring fund raisers for Israel.

There you have it people. As I said, while one can nver be completely sure, I can safely say that these companies are most likely more Pro-Israel than Osama’s Jihad and Breakfast.

Also, to steal a line from David Letterman, I would rather shop at any of those places than, “Bed, Bath, and Bea Arthur.”

    What ?
    No kosher delis ?
    No matzo bakeries ?
Man, I wish we had decent deli here in Hi.

  2. Dav Lev says:

The Kroger supermarket chain should be included in this preferred list
of every Jew and right thinking Christian.

Please not that there are over 200 Ralphs Stores..owned by Kroger.
They customarily have Israeli made products. Some stores also allow
ultra-Orthodox young pious men to ask customers (Jewish) to put on
certain religious garb, and they will aid in reciting the appropriate prayer.

Kroger also has a full line of kosher products for those so includined, including Muslims.

I also want to recommend their Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf coffee..either
on shelves OR served at their deli-service counter. Have it with a bagel
and cream cheese for that feeling of Jewish culture and religious (Torah) requirements.

Kosher products do not have mad cow disease..or the warm sometimes
    found in pork products.

What is better in the morning than a bagel, and kosher coffee and cream or milk I ask?

Non Jews like to know why we Jews are smart? Well, a good breakfast helps!

To my many Arab-Muslim friends and acquaintences, you can adhere to
your religious practices, by buying at Kroger..and this could be the beginning of peaceful cooperation between my people and your people.
(Two state solution, Jew living next to Arab in the M.E., exchanges of students, embassies in each other’s country, trade and commerce proliferating. But first, for heavens same, get rid of Hamas. This terrorist, hate flled group, is no
good for you or your children’s future.

  3. Disney, huh. That’s interesting. I guess money can buy you love.

Fox is a funny mention. I heard they were growing their news presense over there. Strange. I’d figure Israelis to have, well, er, let’s say slightly more refined taste. I mean, don’t get me wrong, some Fox Entertainment stuff is great, but their news is kind of a joke.

    JMJ

  4. Toma says:

Fox news is joke? Jayson Blaire and Dan Rather are jokes!! I’ll bet you don’t like Rush either.

    Toma

  5. Micky 2 says:

I think the percentage of “joke” news is distributed evenly amongst all the networks.
I can find just as much useless material watching FOX as any other outlet.
If your a moonbat then of course you going to see stories that contradict your view as a joke.
So, when you have a media where the majority of the cable outlets lean with a left bias and put Fox, who leans a little right next to them, you’ll call them a joke instead of being objective and realizing that if change channels often enough you’ll get a pretty balanced view of whats going on.

I mean seriously, would anyone expect a radical leftist like Jersey to see FOX as anything other than a joke ?

I watch FOX and I’m well aware that they will support a conservative point of view and present it in a favorable light as much as CNN will air the same story with a liberal point of view.
However subtle it may be, any fool can pick up on it.

Sometimes its not what they say or inject, but more what they leave out that actually drives me nuts.

  6. Oh c’mon, Toma and Micky. Fox News is a joke. It’s just plain bad taste. Heck, if you remember Fox News made it’s name in the business covering the frackin’ OJ trial. Not exactly hard news. I mean, you have blowhards like O’Rielly, fringe loonies like Hannity, endless trivial trial coverage from Greta, etc. Yeah, there’s the Beltway Boys, a good oped source from the right, but other than that, Fox “News” isn’t really news, but rather mostly rightwing opinion and saucy tabloidism. Let’s at least be honest about it. And let’s face this too – Fox took the old AM Talk model and out it on TV: ranting idiocy for shut-ins, ignorant old people, and frustrated underemployed white people stuck in traffic. Blend that with tabloid sensationalism for the bored housewife set, and sexy lady newswoman for the misogynist young loser guy set, and bango – Fox News.

If you really want to know what’s going on in the world, you read the NYT, the WSJ, watch C-Span, maybe read the NYP for the sports (and nothing else of any value), etc. Fox is just drivel. No serious person takes them seriously. I’m not bashing here, just laying it out as it is. Heck, even I watch some Fox, just for the fun of it, but I certanily am not low-brow enough to take them seriously. And hey, Fox Entertainment has a little something for everyone. I love the Simpsons and House, but you wouldn’t catch me dead watching American Idol or Secret Millionaire – but then, of course, I’m not a teenage girl or a lonely housewife.

As for other news sources, it varies. CBS used to be the best of the networks, but they’ve kind of slipped over the years. 60 Minutes still barely clinges to serious relevance, and Face the Nation is still the best of the Sunday Morning interview shows, but the CBS nightly news is now just a joke too. NBC is better ABC, but that’s not saying much. It’s not that these shows are particularly “liberal” – they’re really not – but that the serious substance is lacking. Often what you guys mistake for “liberal” is really just a lack of substance. These guys just report the tough stories and ask the tough questions, and the coverage leans toward sensationalism and trivia, with not nearly enough serious national, international, political, informative content. That’s not “liberal,” just stupid.

PBS, of course, still has the best of the best in nightly news with the NewsHour, Washington Week, McLaughlin, Frontline, etc, (I miss Firing Line soooooooooo much). NOW is an admittedly liberal perspective show, but not as liberal as you’d think. Moyer and Co are more progressive pragmatists than liberals. And for science news there’s Scientific American and Nova, two of the best shows on TV. And Nature is still the best of the best nature shows. No network even comes vaguely close in any of these categories. And THAT’s good taste.

    JMJ

  7. Oops!

“These guys just DON’T report the tough stories and ask the tough questions, and the coverage leans toward sensationalism and trivia, with not nearly enough serious national, international, political, informative content. That’s not “liberal,” just stupid.”

    Sorry about that.

    Jersey.
I wont even read the rest of your idiotic predictabley generated crap about FOX and what you think is good media all over again.
You’re just as bad on FOX as you are on Bush.
Your need your head examined, really, its sooooooooo old already.
You cant help yourself at every opportunity to bash either one.

I know stupid run of the mill off the rack news when I here it, I get it, and all of them are the same when it comes to the quality of the news they put out.
Fox will ask harder questions of a dem that any of the others will opf a democrat. MSNBC,ABC, CBS, CNN they all gave Obama a pass during the elctions.
Why do you think Obama put FOX off til last huh ? Cuz he just wanted to surprise us ?
No, because he knew he was going to get nailed by Oreilly.
And Oreilly did. he was the first to get him to admit what the taxation was going to be like and that his plans were socialism.
Screw your PBS and your C Span.
They’re only good once in a great while for a couple hours or one or two topics.
They may go more into depth than the average news channe but the occsions that it comes about are few and far apart.
Besides that, anyone with half a fraking brain know that PBS is just another moonbat liberal indoctrination madrassa.
And gives a rats rump about nature programs, huh ?
Why, so we can more climate change crap shoved in front of us ?

    And tell me this.
If you’re damn well informed then why is it that I kick your rump from here to kingdom come in every debate with relative facts and occurances that can be proven while you’re always trying to assert that stuff you pulled out of thin air is somehow supposed to be convincing ?
Yea, tell me about that ?
Rarely do you seem to be as ALL KNOWLEGEABLE as you make yourself out to be.

Do think I tsalked you down to irrelevance in oure last debate over Israel because I wasnt informed ? HUH ?
do you know where half my knowledge came from ?
Yea, it sure as hell wasnt PBS or C Span.
If that were the case I’d probably want to go out and kiss Hamas all over the rear just like you guys do.
I’d probably be crapping in a zip lock baggy so I could grow my own produce in it.

    Ridiculous.
Sheez, I watched CNN discuss this stimulus bill for a couple hours yesterday and couldnt stand it anymore, they werent asking the questions that I wanted answered by the right people.
They werent adressing any of the ear tags and what they specifically were for, whos names were on them, for what state or anything.
I cchanged it to FOX and whithin an hour I had most of my questions answered without having to listen Cafferty do his little ” viewer E mail who hates Bush the most” session.

  9. “No, because he knew he was going to get nailed by Oreilly.”

LOL! Yeah, right. O’Reilly is the biggest joke of them all.

No. The Dems all avoided Fox for the most part during the election because Fox is a joke. They don’t ask “hard” questions – they ask stupid questions, and that’s if they even ask questions. Mostly they just make absurd assertions and then talk over the respnse, which is usually something like “what the hell are you talking about?”

“If you’re damn well informed then why is it that I kick your rump from here to kingdom come in every debate with relative facts and occurances that can be proven while you’re always trying to assert that stuff you pulled out of thin air is somehow supposed to be convincing?”

LOL! Yeah, right again. Micky, my rump is footprint free.

Take that last silliness about Israel, where you simply dismissed reality in favor of your comic-book view of human nature. Terrorists, by definition, are stateless! If the Palestinians had a state, they wouldn’t ahve anything to terrorize about! There are no “terrorist” states, just some states who implicitly or tacitly or covertly suppoort some terrorist groups. The closet thing to a terrorist state would be Somalia, or pre-invasion Afghanistan. But these are (were) not really states, but rather “failed states,” states in name only. I mean, if by “terrorist state” you mean a state that terrorizes it’s people or other people, there are piles os them out there, and many of them are our ostensible or outright “friends.” So once again, not only did you not “kick my rump,” you didn’t even nick my shin, or for that matter make any sense in the first place.

CNN is pretty light on the news. I watch them for general info, but thats about it. But again, to put them in context, CNN made it’s name in the first Gulf War, while Fox made it’s name on the OJ trial. Big difference.

Fox News really is just plain stupid. I’m sorry, but I think people who take Fox News seriously are not the brightest bulbs in the box. It’s okay to watch Fox News for their take on things, or even for gweneral info, but to think Fox is somehow serious news is to be, well, I believe, just plain stupid.

    JMJ

  10. Micky 2 says:

“LOL! Yeah, right. O’Reilly is the biggest joke of them all.”

Well, only in your mind and a few rabid moonbats is he a joke.
he takes the best rating of any prime time news commentary there is for years in a row.
Yoy can sya whatever you want but there is no interview out there where Obama was cornered on the socialism and the taxation issue like he was with O Reilly.
For months they couldnt get him in until he was told that ther base watching FOX was one the Obama ought to try and tap.

“LOL! Yeah, right again. Micky, my rump is footprint free.”

Thats not what every debate I’ve had with you says.
Can you show me an example wher you shut me up or answered any question that would controvert your or put your claims to reast ?
    No !
But, I can go back in the archives, or anyone reading could do the same,, and see how almost each and everytime it boils down to you having nothing but opinions and dictative assertions that your word is fact without ever having ant circumstance , documantation or example to back up your BS.
Even this topic rght here you cant offer any example to back up your print free butt.
But I can refer everyone and you to the archives to back up my claim that I am better informed because I speak from the facts where you speak from your ignorant ideas and then try to shove them down everyones throat by demeaning their intelligence or.

Just like the mosr recent example would be Israel.
I’ll ask you again, and I want an answer with a solution, not attcks, side stepping or obfuscation.

What solutions do you have for the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians that you havent suggested that hasnt been tried yet and failed ???
You cant answer that because the only solution left is something an ignorant child in denial does not want to accept.
    With that attribute you lose.
You lose because you have nothing to go forward with that has been proven to work in similar instances in history.

“Take that last silliness about Israel, where you simply dismissed reality in favor of your comic-book view of human nature. ”

This is where your incredible arrogant ignorance prevails and what gets more people killed out of selfish irresposible pride than anything.

Raelity is whats happened in the past and all your ideas as I mentioned above have failed. Yet in the face of historically proven fact you keep wanting to try the same thing over and over again insisting you will get different results.
Yet, each time the same thing happens again. Just like right now.
There was a cease fire, Hamas broke it. Moonbats suggest a peace treaty, Hamas breaks it, moonbats suggest a cease fire, Hamas breaks it.Moonbats suggest a peace treaty, Hamas breaks it, moonbats suggest a cease fire, Hamas breaks it.Moonbats suggest a peace treaty, Hamas breaks it, moonbats suggest a cease fire, Hamas breaks it.Moonbats suggest a peace treaty, Hamas breaks it, moonbats suggest a cease fire, Hamas breaks it.
    That buddy is called insanity.

You couldnt argue your way out of a wet paper bag if you had help.
because you never know what questions to ask, you just try to tell people that only what you see is reality.
You need your head examined, mostly because I had this conversation with you about a year ago and said that you can get family and those close to you to accept your word on trust and faith because they know you.
But you cant expect people in the public arena to just automatically see you as some authority on the future or world events when they dont even know who the hell you are.
You may win arguments with those close to you who know your character and take your word for ti.

But it doesnt work in business and political debate
A high school sophmore knows this and yet you still try to do this everytime we argue an issue.
Thats why you look like the looser in the end and never reach agreements mwith anyone.
Believe it or not, I do reach agreements with many liberals where its not importanr whos right or whos wrong but more or less we just want an answer.
    That doesnt happen with you.
Because every position you take is on a foundation of hate and contempt for anyone who doesnt see things in you childish arrogant naive view.

“There are no “terrorist” states, just some states who implicitly or tacitly or covertly suppoort some terrorist groups.”

    More raw stupidity.
Iran intentionally sets up and finances terrorism for the purpose of using terror in the world arena.

“if by “terrorist state” you mean a state that terrorizes it’s people or other people”

Who the hell ever said that ? And why even bring it up ?
That is just an eaxmple of the type of filler you use just to try and navigate around in an arguement to change the point.
The point is that I never said any state was a terrorist state.
But, I have called them a “state sponsors of terrorism”.
Which by the way is accurate and true.

“or for that matter make any sense in the first place.”

Idocy that can be proven by asking this.

The “first place” was almost 2 years ago and you still find it important enough every day to defend your stupid positions from me and no one else on this blog, or hardly ever.
Thats like telling the DJ a song really sucks but you ask him to play it everday and dance to it while he plays it.

Whats even more cutting to the fact is that I’ve heard you speak in person.
you have never heard me address anyone in person.
I know for a fact that you’re a verbally ostentacious bully that demands people answer questions the way you see fit and never let anyone get a word in edgewise. And you beg your way thru the conversation insyead of make educational and relevant points that will prove your claim to be right or true.
You always ask for confirmations by asking “ya know?”, come on ” and a host of other patronizing methods that make you look like nothing more than an arrogant stubborn fool
In my world when people talk to me like that the first thing they hear is “Excuse me, just who the F*** do you think you’re talking too ?”
That works sometimes in fluent phsysical conversation but not so much on line and in print where you have no choice but a well constructed volley where you actually have to shut up and wait for an answer.

“I’m sorry, but I think people who take Fox News seriously are not the brightest bulbs in the box. ”

Probably not any brighter than those who think they can do the same thing over and over each time and expect different results.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
    Albert Einstein, (attributed)
    US (German-born) physicist (1879 – 1955)
( See Jersey McJones i.e. liberals, moonbats, democrats)

  11. “Well, only in your mind and a few rabid moonbats is (O’Reilly) a joke.”

Micky, I don’t know about where you are, but here on Earth lots of people think O’Reilly is joke, and most people don’t know who he even is, let alone have an opinion of him. He averages about a 1.8-3.5 rating, depending on the time of year, most of his audience is elderly, and among the most key demo (25-54) he gets from 400k to 900k viewers. Among all programming, that puts him in a rather insignificant spot. To put it in perspective, there are probably about twice as many people watching Monk than Bill O’Reilly, and that’s just on cable, let alone broadcast veiwers.

“The takes the best rating of any prime time news commentary there is for years in a row.”

Yes, Micky, among cable “news commentary” viewers. Not exactly a huge demo.

As for his dispopularity, check out this poll: http://people-press.org/report/470/favorite-campaign-journalists

Of the few people who know or care who Bill O’Reilly even is, more people dislike him than like him.

Once again, my “rump” is footprint free.

“What solutions do you have for the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians that you havent suggested that hasnt been tried yet and failed???”

1: Placing an international peacekeeping force in the Occupied Territories.

2: Completely dismantling the Jewish settlements in the Occupied Territories.

3: The US demanding the aforementioned measures against cutting off assistance and trade.

4: The US demanding the end of terrorist support from the Arabian monarchies against cutting off assistance and trade.

And on and on and on and on…

You don’t really pay attention, do you Micky?

The rest of your post is personal blather. I won’t dignify it with a further response.

    JMJ

  12. Micky 2 says:

    Jersey.
Once again you show unwittingly display your stupidity by comparing a news and commentary spot to a comedy.
    “MONK ” ?
    Even further display of this idiocy is reflected here;

    JMJ;
“Among all programming, that puts him in a rather insignificant spot.”

WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT “ALL PROGRAMMING” !
    ARE WE ???

The whole context and conversation on the previous comments were in reference to “CABLE NEWS A COMMENTARY ”
But of course, as usual, when your argument goes to pieces you try to evade to something else.
    Thats why you lose debates.

That was just a stupid, stupid attempt at even trying to make a point.

Here, this is how its done.
Even a liberal rag such as the Huffington post will come to the truth quicker than deranged moonbats such as yourself.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/10/oreillys-obama-interview_n_125462.html

“So much for home field advantage. Cable news outlets shouting from opposite ends of the political spectrum both aired sit-downs with Barack Obama on Monday night. Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly aired the second part of a four-part interview (!) at 8pm against MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, which had a live interview with Obama on “Countdown.”

Winner? O’Reilly, in a landslide. O’Reilly’s “Factor” drew 4.6 million viewers for the hour, more than twice Olbermann’s 1.9 ”

And, they even admit in another article that Olberman has only beat Oreilly once, which plainly indicates that Oreilly ratings (and FOX itself) are a force to be dealt with.

“MSNBC’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” beat Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” in the key Adults 25-54 demographic for the first time ever last week.

“Countdown” averaged 477,000 viewers (A25-54) vs. O’Reilly’s 472,000 (excluding Tuesday’s primary coverage). This marks the first time that MSNBC has beaten Fox News in O’Reilly’s 8pm time slot since June 2001.”

Also Jersey, you kind of shot yourself in the foot on this one.
    Notice the age brackets ?
Yup, thats right, “ADULTS” watch Oreilly as you said so yourself.

” most of his audience is elderly ”

Yup, I guess in a nut shell what you’re saying is that only kids watch all that other crap ? I dont know, thats what it sounds like.

And where the hell do you get 400 K and 900 K from huh ?
You got them from being the liar you are because we are taliking about ALL viewers, not just a select demographic/ age group.
    Its about as honest as saying;
“if you counted all those who are wearing pink ribbons in their hair Oreilly only had 5 viwers today”
But, conveniently enough that age bracket is reflected here which is more than likely your source that you “cherry picked” you’re numbers from.

    Heres the Nielsens.

And here is another example of your stupidity and dishonesty.

You go on to refer me to a link that somehow removes my foot from your a$$ yet in the link you supply it mmakes you out to be the disengenuous fool that you are by making claim for me and shwing that you lied by omission of other rekatice facts that refute and cantradict your own position.

    In the article you referd me to at the Pew research center it plainly says;

“When asked to name their favorite and least favorite campaign journalist or commentator, Bill O’Reilly was named most frequently as the favorite – and as the least favorite.”

Above in your return you only mentioned who finds Oreilly “dispopular”
but like the liar that you are you do not honestly mention that his popularity is only one point to differ from unpopularity.
You also failed to point out thet your own source puts Oreilly and Hannity oin the top 4 that most people find appealing.

“O’Reilly was named by 5% as their favorite journalist or commentator, while 3% each named Tom Brokaw and Sean Hannity. “-

    ———————————————
This is why you loose debates.
You’re sloppy, you are disengenuous to point that it seems you almost blatantly lie and clearly seem to think that anyone could be dumber than you.

As far as your middle astern solutions go.

All that has been tried before but only in slightly different approachs.
Just because you gave a bum 65 bucks today and 7 yesterday doesnt really make much of difference.
The point is you’re still taking the same approach to dealing eith the problem
All that crap you mentioned got chewed up and spit out a week or two ago

  13. Micky 2 says:

My mouse is broke so corrections are hard to make happen right now.

“of other rekatice facts that refute and cantradict your own position.”

    Should say.
of other “relative” facts that refute and cantradict your own position.

  14. Dick the Tick says:

Hey Tygrrrrr….you should verify your facts prior to publishing something like this as it impacts your credibility, babe…! Some of the companies you mention as operating in Israel are either not owned by the companies you say own them, or do not operate there! Yes, I do realise that you start off by making a disclaimer, but…get my drift?

  15. Micky 2 says:

    Hey Dick.
How bout something to back up your own words?
At this point your motives are not being questioned so much.

  16. Dick the Tick says:

    Hey Micky,

Why not check your facts on this by going on to http://finance.yahoo.com and look at who the owners of the companies are that you pupport to be operating in Israel and you will see the extent of the stuff you are putting on to the web! Your credibility is at stake here so, if you’re wrong, do the right thing and publish a correction…this will test your motives!

Makes one wonder about the other topics on your blog….!

    Have a nice day!

  17. Dick the Tick says:

Hey Eric da Dude….been trying to respond to your e-mail sent to my address, but your spam filter is on, so am using this medium to hopefully reach you….your e-mail and my response are as follows:

Eric aka the “T” express…. You are most welcome to remove me, should you so wish – you blog is of no use. The point I was trying to make, the information is freely available on the net – you will see that some of the companies you mention in your blog do not have subsidiaries in Israel.

I have sought to bring this to you attention, yet you still ask me to “bring evidence”. It was you who made the preposterous statements about those companies operating in Israel.

Finally, I was certainly not getting personal – how can I if I do not even know you? Also, why would anyone want to debate issues that were based on falsehoods – I was asking you to verify your facts, something I guess you are not going to do?

    Dick da Tick

    Mr. Tick.

You are my guest. Now if you have evidence, bring it. This is not the place for
wild eyed conspiracy nuts. I will remove you like any other tick if you do not
    start showing some civility.

Argue on issues, not personal attacks.

    PS. Have a nice day!!!

  19. darthchaosofrspw says:

To the person who suggested Kroger Foods as a Zionist outfit…it is. In fact, they are so Zionist that they have a gay employee at the Kroger I work at who is late all the time, talks on their cellphone while on the clock, takes frequent smoke breaks while on the clock, and is just lazy in general. This has been going on for about 4 months, and they are still employed. On Friday, we were slammed with customers, and this person decided to just tell the manager and the office people they were going home, so they clocked out and left. As far as I know, the employee has not been fired. If they are still employed, then it just shows that the management is either too gutless to enforce company policy equally (being gay is not an excuse to wantonly violate company policy), or that they are simply enforcing the Zionist doctrine by treating gay employees as if they are above the law. IMHO, it’s both…management is gutless and enforcing the aforementioned Zionist doctrine.
